Picnic Areas

Manly Dam has four picnic areas around the lake: Section 1, Section 2, Section 3, and Section 4. To view individual picnic areas scroll down the page. Selected tables may be booked in each section by callling Council on 9942 2545. The standard booking fee is $40 per table, or $50 for a covered table.

When leaving picnic areas please place your rubbish in the garbage and recyling bins located in the carparks or take it home with you.

Section 1

• Seven picnic tables, five of which can be booked - A to E.
• Two tables under cover and in high demand.
• Closest secton to front gate.
• Two parking areas - one near the front gate and tables E and D, and one opposite the toilet block and tables A, B.
• Disabled access from carpark to table A.
• Disabled toilets.
• A combination of electric and wood barbecues. Wood provided - bring your own matches.
• Children's playground.
• Open grassy area with good shade.
• Direct access to swimming area.
• Garbage and recycling bins located in carparks.

Section 2

• Private area on the edge of the lake.
• The whole section can be booked.
• Closest carpark approx. 100m.
• Closest toilets approx. 250m.
• The water opposite is a designated waterskiing area.
• Closest swimming area 250m.
• Three picnic tables and wood barbecues (wood

   provided - bring your own matches).

Section 3

 

 

 

 

• Large bushland area on edge of lake.
• Two picnic shelters, 14 picnic tables.
• The picnic shelters and four of the picnic tables can be booked.
• Direct swimming access available to most of Section 3 (however tables 3B, 3C and 3D are located next to the waterskiing area).
• Plenty of wood barbecues (wood provided - bring your own matches)
• Access from the Section 3 carpark.
• Toilet facilities located in the carpark.
• Garbage and recycling bins located in carpark.

Section 4

• Small, secluded bushland setting on edge of lake.
• One picnic shelter and three picnic tables available for booking.
• Direct access to swimming area.
• Access from Section 4 carpark.
• Disabled access from carpark to picnic shelter 4D.
• Disabled toilet and toilet block located in carpark.
• Garbage and recycling bins located in carpark.
