Speeding
Speeding is the number one cause of crashes in Warringah. The cost of speeding is not only a human one. Speed-related fatalities cost the community around $290 million each year.
The aim of the ‘Slow Down in My Street’ campaign is to encourage drivers to slow down on local streets.
Areas identified by clusters of speed-related crashes receive ‘Slow Down in My Street’ stickers for their waste bins.
This message is supported by speed displays and enforcement from the Highway Patrol.
