Speeding

Page Updated: April 30, 2012

Speeding is the number one cause of crashes in Warringah. The cost of speeding is not only a human one. Speed-related fatalities cost the community around $290 million each year.

Slow Down in My Street ArtworkThe aim of the ‘Slow Down in My Street’ campaign is to encourage drivers to slow down on local streets.

Areas identified by clusters of speed-related crashes receive ‘Slow Down in My Street’ stickers for their waste bins.

This message is supported by speed displays and enforcement from the Highway Patrol.
