There are over 150 playgrounds in Warringah which range in size and character. The neighbourhood playgrounds have basic play equipment and are usually surrounded by a small grassy reserve and sometimes back onto bushland. The larger district and regional playgrounds have playground equipment for a range of age groups and sometimes other facilities such as barbecues, tables and toilets.
