Warringah is home to 80 per cent of the sportsgrounds in the SHOROC area (Warringah, Mosman, Manly and Pittwater). Council provides and maintains over 100 sportsgrounds for training, competition and casual community use. Sports played in Warringah include: all codes of football, baseball, netball, softball, hockey, cricket, equestrian, frisbee and Little Athletics.

Sportsgrounds are allocated to sporting organisations for training during the week and for competition on weekends. Sportsgrounds can also be hired on a casual basis by completing the Reserves Booking Application (PDF, 43KB). In addition to the sportsfields listed below, Council provides three skate parks and several tennis courts.

Sportsground Availability

Sportsgrounds can be closed at any time by Council. Generally they will only be closed if there is a risk to users due to capital works projects, maintenance, reactive works or wet weather. More on sportsground availability.

Warringah Council's sportsground wet weather hotline operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week and is updated daily or as weather conditions change. For news on sportsgrounds elsewhere call: Manly (9976 1699) and Pittwater (9970 1236).

Booking

To book a sportsfield you must have $10million Public Liability Insurance. Complete the Reserves Booking Application (PDF, 43KB) and return it by fax on 9942 2433 or email ritcha@warringah.nsw.gov.au. Please follow up with a phone call so we can discuss your requirements and check availability of your desired location. Call 9942 2545.
