Warringah Aquatic Centre

The Warringah Aquatic Centre has been proudly owned and managed by Warringah Council since it opened in November 1979.
Before the Homebush Aquatic Centre opened, the Warringah Aquatic Centre hosted the NSW and Australian Swimming Titles and the 1992 Olympic Trials. The centre has also been a training venue for canoe polo, underwater hockey, synchronised swimming and the ITU World Cup.
The WAC has featured in television commercials both here and abroad, including a memorable Coke ad for Japan starring Ian Thorpe. We've been seen on screens in Korea and India, and for products from soap to rum. We've also provided the location for photo shoots for past and current Olympians like Haley Lewis, Susie O'Neill, Claudia Poll and Kieran Perkins.
