Waste

Household Waste and Recycling - garbage collection dates can be found on Council's website, or by calling

Kimbriki Recycling and Waste Disposal Centre

Kimbriki Road, off Mona Vale Road, Terrey Hills.

Open 7 days between 7am-5pm (closed Good Friday and Christmas Day)

Kimbriki recycles dry waste only and does not accept food, paint, liquids, chemicals or gas cylinders. It is recommended that you call first to be sure what Kimbriki can and cannot accept.

The Eco Garden at Kimbriki is open centre hours for casual visits or booked group tours. The garden demonstrates composting, mulches, no-dig gardening, rainwater collection and food plants.

Every week:

  • Garbage wheelie bin collection.
  • Recycling wheelie bin collection - alternate weeks for yellow top (mixed containers) bin and blue top (paper) bin.

Every month:

  • Vegetation (garden waste) collection. Tie garden waste into bundles and place it kerbside, or place in hard, straight-sided containers like old-style garbage bins clearly marked ‘vegetation’, or place in a 240 litre wheelie bin clearly marked with a Council sticker for this purpose.

Yearly:

  • Two whitegoods/metals only collection services. Collects items made entirely or almost entirely of metal (eg fridges, old bikes, hot water service heaters).
  • Two general clean-ups. No metal, vegetation or other recyclable items will be collected.
  • A calendar with dates of scheduled collection for each area is distributed towards the end of each year.

Belrose Waste Management Centre

Please call first as Belrsoe will accept food but has restrictions on types of liquids and animal waste.
