On September 13, 2008, Warringah residents and ratepayers elected Michael Regan as their first popularly elected Mayor.

Michael Regan lives in Forestville and is President of the Dee Why RSL Cricket Club. He has more than 18 years of experience working in local government, the past ten years in senior management positions. His operational roles in particular saw him plan and deliver multimillion dollar budgets and supervise more than a hundred staff. He has also worked in the private sector and understands the challenges businesses face and the impact that local government decisions can have on their operations. |
