More than 500 people packed Dee Why RSL on Thursday 9 June to hear the final lecture of the 2011 Hilltop to Headland series. Australia's Climate Change Commissioner Professor Tim Flannery and head of the Coasts and Climate Change Council Professor Bruce Thom discussed the challenges of climate change and how this relates to our coastal zone.

Ed HalmagyiOver 200 people attended the first talk in the series with celebrity chef and food author Ed Halmagyi. Ed gave practical advice and inspiration on sustainable living including how to source locally grown food and how to grow your own kitchen garden.

The second in the Hilltop series was a family friendly event hosted by Ranger Stacey with the Taronga Zoomobile. Participants discovered the wildlife in their own backyards at this hands-on event.
