Tree Preservation Order

Warringah Council, at its meeting on 19 September 2000, adopted the Warringah Tree Preservation Order. In accordance with the provisions contained within the Warringah Local Environmental Plan 2000, the Tree Preservation Order was given effect through it being publicly notified.
In December 2005 the Tree Preservation Order was reviewed to include changes in legislation. The amendment of the Tree Preservation Order was adopted at the Council Meeting held on 13 December 2007.
At its meeting of 9 September 2008, Council resolved to amend the Tree Preservation Order to include Chamaecyparis spp on the exempt species list. The update also amended various minor anomalies.
