Library General Information FAQ
You can become a member online or when you visit any Library Branch. It's free, easy and you don't have to live in the area. Being a member provides access to our collection and a variety of other benefits including a wide range of online resources, our growing collection of eBooks, great Library and History events and much more. You can borrow up to 30 items for a period of three weeks from our collection with ONE renewal.

Northern Beaches Public Library service has six branches - Glen Street, Dee Why, Forestville, Manly, Mona Vale and Warringah Mall.
Customers can return their Library items to any of these six branches.
There are also four Community Libraries on the Northern Beaches:
Your default PIN is the last 4 digits of your Library card and can be changed at any time through our website. For example: If your card number is 1234567 your default PIN will be 4567
The Library sends reminder notices as a courtesy. It is your responsibility to return items by the due date on the receipt given to you at the time of borrowing. To reduce the instance of overdue fees we provide several channels for you to check your loan status. These include the physical receipt at the time of borrowing, online through our website, calling during branch hours, ask a staff member when visiting and lastly, courtesy emails.
Failure to receive a reminder notice is not accepted as a reason to waive fees.
