Weddings in Warringah




Warringah is famous for its beautiful beaches, spectacular headlands, native bushland and lagoons. Warringah is just 30 minutes from the Sydney CBD and stretches from the ocean in the east to Duffys Forest in the west, Queenscliff in the south to North Narrabeen in the north.
Warringah is close to many excellent reception centres, restaurants and surf life saving clubhouses which specialise in wedding receptions.
Some popular spots for wedding ceremonies are: Collaroy, Collaroy Plateau, Freshwater, Governor Philip Lookout, Long Reef, Manly Dam, Queenscliff, and Stony Range Botanic Garden.

Once your booking is made, a written confirmation and invoice will be sent to you. The booking is for 2 hours, Council fees are $144 and your ceremony will be covered by Council’s public liability insurance policy.
Pay & Display parking is in place at Council’s beaches. Rates are: $4 per hour or $8 per day Mon-Fri and $16 per day weekends, public holidays and school holidays. We understand you would love to celebrate with your friends following your marriage ceremony but please make sure you leave the area as you find it. Please don't leave rubbish behind.
Fox Park, cnr Beach Rd and Florence Ave
This narrow park leads down to the beach and waters edge at The Basin, Collaroy, just north of Long Reef Headland. Exchange your vows on the grassy reserve or take your shoes off and go for a walk along the sand. A lovely private spot with spectacular ocean and coastal views. Street parking. There are no amenities.
Collaroy
Stanley & Florence Twight Reserve, (at the end of) Ocean Street
This is a spectacular location for your special day. Look north up the coast as far as the eye can see and south to spectacular Long Reef Headland. This is a quiet reserve just above Collaroy Beach rockpool. Parking at Collaroy Beach carpark and neighbouring streets. The nearest amenities are at Collaroy Surf Life Saving Club.

McLeans Lookout and Edgar Gornell Wildflower Garden, Edgeclilff Boulevard
(opp. Aubreen St)
Both of these reserves have spectacular views over Narrabeen Lagoon and up the coast as far as the eye can see. This is a great spot for wedding photos. Parking in nearby side streets is recommended. There are no amenities.
McKillop Park, Lumsdaine Drive (adjacent to carpark)
McKillop Park is situated on the headland between Freshwater and South Curl Curl Beaches. This delightful spot has views up and down the coast and is ideal for wedding photos. Park in McKillop carpark. There are no amenities.
Freshwater
Duke's Statue
Another popular spot at Freshwater is the garden at the back of the Harbord Diggers Club, fondly called Duke's Statue. The bronze statue of Hawaiian surfer Duke Kahanamoku is set in a stone and bushland garden and celebrates the first exhibition of surboard riding Hawaiian-style at Freshwater in 1915. This is a private location and is popular with weddings that have their receptions at The Diggers. Park in McKillop carpark. There are no amenities.
Governor Phillip Lookout
Warringah Road, Beacon Hill
On a clear day you can see as far as the horizon from Governor Phillip Lookout. Park in the Warringah Road carpark and follow the track up to the lookout. There are no amenities. To make a booking for this reserve, call Mr Nev Bickerstaff on 9982 2997.

This is a spectacular location for your wedding but it is a bit of a walk up hill to get to the top. Not recommended for the frail or brides in very high heels. The coastline stretches as far as the eye can see. Ideal for wedding photos. Parking available at top carpark. There are no amenities.
Lower Long Reef Headland
This is a popular spot located to the left of the upper carpark. With views north along the coast, this is a little more sheltered than the location at the top of the headland. Parking in adjacent carpark. There are no amenities.
King Street, Manly Vale
Picturesque Manly Dam is an ideal spot for an informal wedding and reception in a bushland setting. By hiring a number of areas you can hold your ceremony and reception in a private setting with parking and amenities close by.
Freshwater View Reserve, 29-31 Pavilion Street
Freshwater View Reserve is located on the headland above Freshwater Beach and is very private. The views north along the coastline are spectacular. For the ceremony, the bride can make her entrance through the archway set in a high stone wall. Street parking. There are no amenities.
369 Pittwater Rd, Dee Why
Located in a quiet enclave of rainforest and native bushland, this is a beautiful location for the smaller wedding. Take your vows on a purpose-built platform with a trickling waterfall and native bushland as a backdrop. A delightful pond separates you from your guests. Should you wish to play some quiet music during your ceremony, let us know and we’ll organise access to power.
The Pavilion is set within the grounds and is an ideal base for a cocktail party while you have your photos taken. Limited kitchen facilities available. There is an additional charge to hire The Pavilion. Parking nearby. Amenities at rear of The Pavilion.
