Media Alert - Last Chance to Enter Band Comp

Entries for Warringah Council's Northern Composure Band Competition will close at 5pm on Monday 13 February, giving budding musicians less than a week to get their entry and demo in.

Local, unsigned bands with an average age of under 19 are encouraged to take a punt in the northern beaches premier band competition, and get themselves some exposure as well as real live stage experience in front of an audience.

An official music writer, photographer and film crew are also needed for the event and applicants aged under 21 are being urged to send their submissions before 5pm Monday 20 February.

Email youth@warringah.nsw.gov.au with your name, age, suburb, email and mobile number, and explain in 50 words or less explain why you want to work on the event.

  • Photographers also need to send a link to five great photographs they've taken.
  • Writers need to send two previous articles they've written.
  • And Film Crew applicants need to send a link to a previous production.

Heats for Northern Composure take place on 2, 9, 16 March at YOYO's Youth Centre with the final on 30 March.
