Warringah Local Environment Plan 2011

The Warringah Local Environmental Plan 2011 (LEP 2011) came into effect on Friday 9 December 2011.

The LEP 2011 has been prepared in accordance with the State Government’s Standard Instrument (Local Environmental Plans) Order 2006, which requires local Council’s to implement a Standard Instrument LEP.  The State Government has created the Standard Instrument LEP to assist in streamlining the NSW Planning system.

The LEP 2011 is available for viewing and downloading from the NSW Government’s legislation website

Deferred Land

In approving LEP 2011, the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure decided to defer certain land from the new LEP.  The deferred land is currently within the B2 Oxford Falls Valley and C8 Belrose North localities under LEP 2000 and will remain under the provisions of LEP 2000

Warringah Development Control Plan

In addition to the LEP 2011, a new Warringah Development Control Plan (DCP) has been prepared by Council. The new DCP contains detailed planning controls that support LEP 2011 but cannot be included.

The DCP is available through eServices

The LEP 2011 and the new DCP must both be considered when planning the development of non- deferred land within Warringah.

The LEP 2011 and the new DCP are available for viewing at Council's Civic Centre at Dee Why.
