Council adopted this plan at its meeting on 11th November 2008. The plan provides guidance on the management of 203 smaller parks and reserves in Warringah. The main value of these parks is for recreation, social interaction and preservation of open space in an urban setting.
The actions in the plan focus on protecting these values. The primary management intention for the parks is to provide balanced opportunities for the community to get together in the local area while protecting the ecological and aesthetic values associated with the parks and reserves. Management actions are focussed on providing facilities and services to enhance recreational and social opportunities in the community and to ensure safe and equitable access to local and neighbourhood parks in Warringah.
