Council provides a range of childcare and educational services to meet the needs of more than 2,000 families with children aged up to 12 years. Council's Referral and Information Service provides advice to parents and carers about available childcare choices and manages the children's services database.

Children's Services Directory 2011/12 Warringah Council Children's Services is pleased to provide a Directory containing current information on local child and family related services. This Directory provides details on Long Day Care, Family Day Care, Playgroups, Schools, Vacation Care Programs and many more services. Council also provides premises to various community based childcare centres at reduced rental. We work with regional Councils on the State-funded Families First Project to focus on early intervention and prevention for families with children aged up to eight years.


Long Day Care Long Day Care

Council operates four Long Day Care centres - at Belrose, Brookvale, Dee Why and Narrabeen. The centres care for children from birth to school age. Priority is given to parents living, working, or studying in Warringah. More on Long Day Care.

Family Day Care

Family Day CareWarringah Family Day Care is provided through a network of approved Family Day Educators, organised and supported by our professionally qualified Coordination Unit Team. Occasional Care

Vacation Care

Vacation Care

Council operates five Vacation Care centres which offer quality care and a recreational program for children during school holidays. Participants enjoy centre-based activities and excursions to a range of venues around Sydney. Additional support services are provided to integrate children with special needs.
