Unleashed Dog Exercise Areas

Update – Dogs on Beaches
Council has resolved to investigate whether a section of Curl Curl Beach may be appropriate as an off-leash dog exercise area.
Currently exercising dogs at all beaches and rockpools is illegal and can attract fines of up to $330.
Current Unleashed Dog Exercise Areas
Warringah Council has eight areas to exercise your dog off the leash at any time of the day, plus a swimming area at Curl Curl Lagoon. There are also an additional four exercise areas with restricted times. Click on the links below for maps of each of the areas.
The law requires that your dog must be under effective control at all times and
dispose of dog faeces in a suitable manner. For your convenience, Council has provided dog litter bins at the entrance to each unleashed dog exercise area.
Dogs are not permitted in some areas of Warringah, such as beaches, rockpools, schools, preschools, children's playgrounds, shopping centres and on the playing surfaces of sportsfields, even if they are on a leash.
