Rushing at, chasing, harassing, or biting a person or animal, even if no injury has occurred, are all considered under the Companion Animals Act 1998 to be a dog attack.

If you feel you have been the victim of an attack contact us on 9942-2111 during business hours and lodge a complaint. This number can also be used for an after hours emergency.

If your dog attacks a person or animal we will conduct a full investigation into the matter. There are very hefty fines that apply to an owner of a dog that has attacked and it  may be declared dangerous. There are strict guidelines that an owner of a dangerous dog must comply with.

To be a responsible dog owner, and avoid possible litigation, restrain your dog properly at home so that it cannot escape and keep it on a lead when you’re out walking.
