Middle Creek Bridge
Manly Dam Mountain Bike Track Upgrade
WHERE:
  • In Track Section 1 Park Main Entry to Manning Street - the area of track east of Manning Street
  • In Track Section 3 Kirkwood Street to Wakehurst Parkway Gate - the area of track called The Sniggle
  • In Track Section 7 Allambie Heights junction to bottom of 19th Hole - the area of track called the 19th Hole

WHEN: May-August (weather permitting)

WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Improved track drainage to reduce erosion and track widening and to enable the track to recover quicker after rain. Improved track surface to enhance rider safety whilst retaining technical features. Installing corrals to reduce track footprint and to keep riders on the track to minimise track widening. Riders please note that diversions will be in place and some sections may be closed during this time.

Dee Why Lifeguard Hut
WHERE: North end of promenade at Dee Why Beach
WHEN: End of May - July
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: The new viewing tower will allow lifeguards to respond faster to emergencies on the beach and better see the swimming zone. It also gives lifeguards shelter from the elements and will be a station for first aid.
 
Belrose Children's Centre Upgrade
WHERE: Belrose Children's Centre
WHEN: April - August
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Improved playground including sandpit, water feature, amphitheatre, sensory trails and an additional playground for the 0-2 being installed. Building expansion of the 0-2 area also.
 
St Matthews Farm Reserve Upgrade
WHERE: St Matthews Farm, Cromer
WHEN: April - October
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: A new club room, canteen, change room and toilet facilities.The sportsfield will remain open and temporary facilities provided.
 
Queenscliff Rockpool Restoration
WHERE: Queenscliff rockpool and adjoining pathway
WHEN: mid-end July - November
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: New surfaces on three sides of the rockpool, widened ramp access from the beach, modifications to the pool stairs and a new ladder at the deep end. The works are extensive and therefore the pool area and the adjoining pathway link from Queenscliff headland to the beach will be closed during construction.
 
New Pool Stairs
WHERE: North Curl Curl Rockpool
WHEN: Monday 23 June – August 
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Removal of existing timber stairs and installation of a wider stainless steel framed stairway to improve access and safety. Please note access to the pool will is closed during this time.
 
Beach Access and Repairs 
WHERE: North Narrabeen - Collaroy Beach
WHEN:  21 July – 28 July
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Sand replenishment of access pathways and fence repairs in various sections.
 
Park Maintenance 
WHERE: Berry Reserve, Narrabeen
WHEN:  21 – 28 July
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Painting and repairs to maintain outdoor park furniture.
 
Weed Control Program
WHERE: Sportsfields and some reserves
WHEN: Starting Monday 14 July for 3-4 weeks (weather dependent)
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Council is conducting annual broad leaf weed control.
 
Ted Jackson Reserve (Dee Why Beach) Irrigation Upgrade
WHERE: Ted Jackson Reserve, Dee Why 
WHEN: 21 July - Mid August
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Installation of new irrigation system to maintain grassed areas for community amenity. 
 
Access Upgrades
WHERE: Plateau Park, Collaroy Plateau / Griffith Park, Long Reef / Cromer Park, Comer 
WHEN: 16 – 31 July
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Some slip rails will be replaced with steel boom gates and others painted to increase visibility.
 
Improved Pathways in Curl Curl
WHERE: John Fisher Park, Curl Curl (Park Street area)
WHEN: 28 July - 8 August
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Replacing current path with shared pathway and repairs to bridge to improve usability.
 
Setting up for Summer
WHERE: Various sportsfields
WHEN: 25 August - 18 September
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Goals will be removed , cricket pitches uncovered, back nets installed and the grounds repaired prior to summer sports season.
