Collaroy Beach Stormwater Outlet
WHERE: Collaroy Beach
WHEN: August-January
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: The seaward end of the outlet will be dismantled and replaced - making it approximately 10 metres shorter. The small carpark south of Collaroy Beach Services Club will be closed during construction. The beach will remain open but works may cause some inconvenience.

New PCYC and Carpark 
WHERE: Dee Why
WHEN: Monday 12 January - Mid 2016
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: The carpark at the corner of The Kingsway and Fisher Road will be closed for the construction of the new PCYC and carpark. Parking will still be available at the corner of Pittwater Road and St David Ave, Dee Why. For further information see the Dee Why PCYC project page.

ANZAC War Memorial Path Vegetation Removal

WHERE: Forestville War Memorial and Melwood Playing Fields 
WHEN: November - February
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: The removal of exotic vegetation and trees has begun in preparation for the path later in 2014. This is part of the Forestville War Memorial and Melwood Playing Fields Project.
 
Jamieson Park Car Park and Landscape Improvements
WHERE: Jamieson Park, The Esplanade, Narrabeen  
WHEN: November – December
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: The removal of several Casuarina trees and root systems, which are damaging the carpark surface, in preparation for bitumen re-sealing of the affected areas. This will improve pedestrian safety and improve accessibility within the park. Replacement native trees will be planted in Autumn 2015.
 
Drainage Improvement
WHERE: St David Ave, Dee Why
WHEN: December - January
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: An area behind the bus stop on the corner of St David Ave and Pittwater Rd will be fenced to allow for a drainage works.
 
Playground Improvements
WHERE: Cootamundra Reserve, Allambie Heights
WHEN: November – January
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Playground upgrade including installation of swings, climbing slide and a spring seesaw. Minor re-alignment works are also being undertaken to the Manly Dam Mountain Bike Trail to provide clear separation from the new playground area.
 
Fire Hydrant Upgrades 
WHERE: Civic Drive 
WHEN: October - December
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Jackhammers and excavators will be used on the eastern side of Civic Drive between Council and the Dee Why Library to enable fire hydrant works to be carried out. There will be some noise during these periods.
 
New Fencing
WHERE: Stirgees Ave, Curl Curl
WHEN: December
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Replacing boundary timber fencing  and access gates along Weldon Reserve.
 
Bus Stop Improvements
WHERE: Twenty five various locations
WHEN: November - December
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Improving boarding point identification for people with visual impairments.
 
Emergency Access Improvements
WHERE: Beacon Hill Reserve and Belrose Oval (also known as Bambara)
WHEN: December
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Installation safety gates and laybacks to improve access for emergency services
 
Cricket Net Repairs
WHERE: Weldon and Mike Pawley Reserves 
WHEN: December
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Repairs to the cricket sight nets
 
Safety Net Installation
WHERE:  Collaroy Plateau Park
WHEN: December
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU:  Installation of safety net / posts to prevent cricket balls from entering the playground
 
Playground Improvements
WHERE:  Five Playgrounds in Belrose, Forestville and Allambie Heights 
WHEN: December
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU:  Installation of new surfaces under swing sets to ensure longevity of the soft fall
 
Improved Bike Path
WHERE:  Campbell Parade, Dee Why
WHEN: December
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU:  New concrete entrance including bollards and fencing from Campbell Parade to the Dee Why Bike Path. This will improve accessibility for all path users.
 
Park Improvements
WHERE: Lindrum Reserve, Belrose
WHEN: December - April
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Installation of a BBQ, shelter, pathways and improved landscaping.
 

RECENTLY COMPLETED

Playground Improvements
WHERE: Peppercorn Reserve, Frenchs Forest
WHEN: December
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Playground upgrade including installation of swings, slide and a climbing frame.
 
Wishing Well Restoration
WHERE: Collaroy Beach Reserve.
WHEN: November - December 
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: The existing sandstone wishing well monument and adjacent circular sandstone paving will be dismantled and rebuilt, to restore and enhance its heritage value and style.
The area will fenced during the construction period. The grassed reserve area will remain open but works may cause some inconvenience.
 
St Matthews Farm Reserve Upgrade
WHERE: St Matthews Farm, Cromer
WHEN: April - November
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: A new club room, canteen, change room and toilet facilities. The sportsfield will remain open and temporary facilities provided.
 
Amenity Upgrades
WHERE: Jamieson Park, Narrabeen (Narrabeen Sailing Club)
WHEN: October - November
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: The addition of unisex all-abilities toilet facilities.
 
Manly Dam Mountain Bike Track Upgrade

WHERE: Manly Dam
WHEN: October - November
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Improved track drainage to reduce erosion and track widening and to enable the track to recover quicker after rain. Improved track surface to enhance rider safety whilst retaining technical features. Installing corrals to reduce track footprint and to keep riders on the track to minimise track widening. Riders please note that diversions will be in place and some sections may be closed during this time.

NOTE: Works are also being carried out on the main fire trail section of the bike circuit and behind dwellings at the top of Southern Cross Way, Allambie Heights. These areas are required to meet width and surface standards so that large fire fighting vehicles can use them easily in an emergency. These works should be completed by the mid November.

Queenscliff Rockpool Restoration
WHERE: Queenscliff rockpool and adjoining pathway
WHEN: mid-end July - November
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: New surfaces on three sides of the rockpool, widened ramp access from the beach, modifications to the pool stairs and a new ladder at the deep end. The works are extensive and therefore the pool area and the adjoining pathway link from Queenscliff headland to the beach will be closed during construction.
 
Skate Ramp Repairs
WHERE: Aquatic Drive, Frenchs Forest
WHEN:  9 - 17 December
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: The skate ramp will be closed while it is repaired and repainted.
